Perfect for the discerning collector on a budget, these pieces provide an excellent entry point to the joys of vintage watches.
One of the things we most love about vintage watches is the history of the brands, and few can compete with Girard-Perregaux in that department. Dating back to the late 1700's, Girard-Perregaux has a rich history and has been pretty underrepresented in modern collecting, if you ask us.
Girard Perregaux has a history of innovation, including pioneering efforts in early wrist watches, and invaluable contributions to the engineering of one of our least favorite technical innovations- the quartz movement.
Always pushing the envelope, Girard Perregaux’s Gyromatic line housed many of their latest technical breakthroughs, including a unique winding mechanism they co-developed with Doxa, Eberhard, and Zodiac and culminating with the world’s first movement beating at 36,000 bph, the Caliber 32A.
Dating to the early-mid 1960’s, this particular piece features a nicely proportioned 34.5mm stainless steel case a beautiful off-white stepped dial with raised silver markers, and date at 3:00. The icing on the cake of this stunner is the beads of rice style bracelet with Girard Perregaux signed clasp.
We’re always on the lookout for pieces with that perfect combination of history, looks, and character- it’s pretty hard to beat this piece in any category!
